The current UP assembly's five-year term ends on 22 May 2027. Based on past cycles and the state's large size, polling is widely expected in a multi-phase format around February–March 2027, though the Election Commission has not yet announced official dates.
Yogi Adityanath of the Bharatiya Janata Party has been Chief Minister since 2017 and is serving his second consecutive term after the 2022 election.
Punjab's assembly term ends on 16 March 2027, and polling is expected in the February–March 2027 window, subject to official confirmation from the Election Commission.
